- Thoroughly review the plans, specifications, and blueprints to understand the product requirements
- Prepare documentation of the inspection activities, which includes detailed inspection specifications and instructions
- Conduct dimensional and visual inspections of incoming parts and subassemblies according to documented specifications and requirements using standard physical, mechanical, and electrical measurements
- Verify that the in-process subassemblies and finished products conform to documented inspection documentation
- Document inspection results and collect and analyze inspection data as required
- Report all the non-conforming components, sub-assemblies, and assemblies to the concerned department at the earliest
- Collect and analyze supplier performance data
- Maintain calibration of quality control equipment
- Post-secondary diploma
- Real-time experience in the manufacturing environment is preferred
- Experience with standard metrology equipment (calipers, dial indicators, gauge blocks, etc.)
- Direct knowledge of quality control standards
- Knowledge of Quality Systems, ISO 13485, and applicable worldwide regulatory requirements is an asset
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-focused environment.
- Good math knowledge in measuring and calculating dimensions.
- Strong plan and organizational skills, as well as great attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Ability to lift 50lbs
