Responsibilities And Duties

  • Thoroughly review the plans, specifications, and blueprints to understand the product requirements
  • Prepare documentation of the inspection activities, which includes detailed inspection specifications and instructions
  • Conduct dimensional and visual inspections of incoming parts and subassemblies according to documented specifications and requirements using standard physical, mechanical, and electrical measurements
  • Verify that the in-process subassemblies and finished products conform to documented inspection documentation
  • Document inspection results and collect and analyze inspection data as required
  • Report all the non-conforming components, sub-assemblies, and assemblies to the concerned department at the earliest
  • Collect and analyze supplier performance data
  • Maintain calibration of quality control equipment

Education

  • Post-secondary diploma
  • Real-time experience in the manufacturing environment is preferred

Skills

  • Experience with standard metrology equipment (calipers, dial indicators, gauge blocks, etc.)
  • Direct knowledge of quality control standards
  • Knowledge of Quality Systems, ISO 13485, and applicable worldwide regulatory requirements is an asset
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-focused environment.
  • Good math knowledge in measuring and calculating dimensions.
  • Strong plan and organizational skills, as well as great attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Ability to lift 50lbs

Salary Range

CAD$20.00 - $25.00 hourly
