Job Title: Product Innovation Manager

Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid)

Employment Type: Full time

ABOUT MIMOSA DIAGNOSTICS INC.

MIMOSA provides a proactive approach to vascular health and wound care, empowering clinicians to implement earlier interventions, or even prevent intervention altogether. Our products promote inclusive and equitable healthcare, enabling patients in remote areas, and racialized people across the globe to access the critical care everyone deserves.

ABOUT THE ROLE

You won’t be managing a backlog of bug fixes here. As the Product Innovation Manager at MIMOSA, you are the visionary leading our new Skunkworks team. Your job is to live in the future, discovering how our multi-modal imaging can solve critical clinical problems like pressure injury etiology. You will guide a dedicated engineering pod to build rapid prototypes, validate them with clinicians, and translate those wins into bulletproof requirements for our Core Launch Team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identify Clinical Value: Spend time with clinicians to understand exactly what diagnostic data they need and how it fits into their workflow for equitable patient care.
  • Lead the Skunkworks: Direct the daily priorities of the Data and Prototyping engineers, ensuring they are building toward clinical validation, not academic science projects.
  • Validate and Pivot: Take "well-baked" prototypes to internal stakeholders and external users to prove technical feasibility and market demand.
  • Bridge the Gap: Translate successful prototypes into strict, testable, Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) tickets so our Launch Pod can build the final medical device QMS compliant without ambiguity.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • The Experience: 4+ years in Product Management, specifically within medical devices, imaging, or digital health.
  • The Clinical Mindset: You know how to talk to doctors, interpret clinical workflows, and understand the regulatory line between a "general tool" and a "diagnostic claim."
  • The Bridge Builder: You know how to write ruthless, clear acceptance criteria that developers and QA teams love.

OUR HYBRID PHILOSOPHY WE BELIEVE IN DEEP WORK AND DEEP CONNECTION.

  • Day-to-Day: Work from home.
  • Onboarding: Your first week is in-office (Toronto) so we can set you up for success and buy you lunch.
  • The Rhythm: Afterward, we meet in person about once a month. We use this time for whiteboarding, strategy, troubleshooting hardware, and actually seeing human faces.
